A letter to a Congressman...

Dear Congressman Doctor Ron Paul,

I have recently read about you and your stand in congress, as a citizen, and a follower of Jesus Christ. My question is ... is it possible for our country to not be a "two party" political train wreck. I have a deep love for America and her history and I am sad to say I have been in deep dismay... because in the end we are having to select the best of 2 "evils".

As a believer myself, I realize that it all works itself out to a bigger picture so thankfully I don't rest in the hope of a country but of someone greater. Having said that ... I do believe that the process of campaigning is not balanced in the way that the founding fathers ( with their flaws and all accounted for) intended. Is there a way for those running for office (any office) to have a spending cap not be allowed to use money from lobbyist or groups but on their own hard worked financial backing? It seems that we should all have to earn it... where we stand in the political pyramid... if a lobbyist issues are brought to the table as well as special interest groups... it shouldn't be ( it seems to me ) to be a trade game.. I'll trade my values and morals for your money and support. Am i just not seeing the big picture and simplifying something that is not so simple??

Thank you so much for your time and I would appreciate your perspective (not an assistant's or someone that has had answering this delegated to... not that I don't value their opinions ;) it's just this is not a "fan club" I am a citizen who believes in the foundation of our constitution so would like to hear from the person who is defending that. :) ). Thank you again and have a good day.
Sincerely,
Jeanette Mayhew
