Watching
Waiting
Pondering
Uncertain
At Peace
Heart pacing
Like a new father in a waiting room
Mind rushing
Like the anchor of a 300 sprint relay
Still I wait
"Peace that surpasses all understanding" *
As I wait on Him
Positioned for action
Anticipating to move
Still I wait
Knowing I would take off
Like a Cheetah on the hunt
Focused
Determined
Striving my utmost
He whispers "wait"
To run too far ahead
Lost, I will be
For the Light would be behind me
So I wait
Then...
amidst the gentle, quiet thunder
"Move"
(*Phillipians 4:7a NIV Study Bible)

Lovely poem with rich images, my dear friend.
Captures the tension we feel when we want to run like the cheetah but have to learn to hold in the "power" by waiting for His perfect timing.
Love your pic, too. Such a peaceful setting.
Love,
Jlo
Today I hope you feel the blessing of His spirit :)
Thank you to both of you for you lovely comments and encouragement. May your day be blessed as He continues to poor into both of you as well. :)
Much respect and love!
Dear Nette,
Nice poem. You drew lots of pictures in just one word phrases and it was beautiful! Take care and always remember to listen in the quite as well as in the storm. I hear the eye of the storm is the most quiet place in it all. Take care and know that God is still in the after math of it all. ;)
Sincerely, - me - (Mommy of two little blessings)
