Tammi G. Lynch

Someone, actually many, have asked me
"So what's your mother like" and I recall
All the funny little things
Some off the wall

Like how she helped us T.P. our pastor's house
Short sheet the bed
She was quiet as a mouse
And still was caught in the red

She's strong as an oak tree
Her soul's like a redwood
Intertwines with many
In the only way she could

You would never have to wonder
if her door to comfort would be open
She welcome the vagabond
and many of the broken

She rises with the Son
And spend time at his feet
Sharing all His love
And never skips a beat.

She's feisty and can be a handful
But man i love her so
She loves with a heart full
And NEVER let's you go

Her hugs are good and plenty
Though as a child she'd shutter at a touch
But "God is good and healing"
She says, oh so much.

She may be little
Standing only 5 foot 2
But man watch out
'cause she can take you down too!

So that's a little of my mommy
The fiery woman I love
Who touches lives of many
And my first best friend and love.

(you've been waiting for this post) She is an amazing lady. Funny how you see things as a child and then as an adult. When I was little I thought that was so fun, walks around town in new shoes on Christmas night, TPing the pastors house while the family was away, croosing down main street with a car FULL of giggling girls, camping with friends, hiking as often as possible, just living life. Now as a parent, I would love to keep some of those things and so I take my kids out and we just play in the yard or go to the park, we have spluge lunches at McDonalds, we take walks during the day and point out all the animals and plants we see along the walk, we sing songs and dance around the house all the time those are fantastic things to share with your mom even if you don't see eye to eye on several other things as two adult ladies. That's okay, there is still that love and sometimes hidden admeration for the lady who you know has loved you through it all. I happen to know of your mom and I too think she is an amazing lady no matter how many things we may dissagree on I think she is a fine person and pray she continues to grow in God daily right along with you. Sincerely (:
